Abstract: The article discusses possible options for using Russian black-and-white films produced by Tasama (Kazan) in order to replace films produced by Kodak and Orwo that fell under sanctions. Films are used to make backup copies of films in the State Film Archive of Russia. Sensytometric characteristics of Russian and foreign films are compared, first of all, the contrast ratio. The possibility of using the film for microfilming «Mikrat MF N» produced by Tasma for the production of double-positives is discussed.
